Writing and Digital Design

“Nana lived in simple truths. She believed in the things that matter most – home, heart, and faith. Home is where her people gathered, not just on holidays, but every day. Her door was always open for family, friends, and neighbors on the hill. Nana’s home was full of life, love, laughter – and food. It’s where, as children, we stretched out on the rust-colored shag carpet to watch the Wizard of Oz (in color), eating popcorn out of little brown wooden bowls, and drinking Pepsi from a real glass. It’s where she put endless family dinners on the table and we were allowed (if not encouraged) to eat with our hands since “fingers were made before forks.” Home is where Nana imparted her simple wisdom: “Breath of life,” she’d say, while handing you a cup of tea. It’s where all were welcome to stay and there were always extra toothbrushes in the bathroom cupboard for guests. Home is where Nana baked goodness into all of her treats and swept her troubles away, again and again, as she puttered around the kitchen telling her favorite stories…”
